Event Highlights
Many animals arrive in poor physical condition or with serious injuries. Every year the CAHS sees animals with broken bones, eye injuries, skin diseases such as mange, infectious and contagious diseases such as parvovirus and distemper, which are most often fatal if not treated, and various other illness and traumatic injuries such as burns or lacerations. Many of these animals require emergent care and often longer-term support.
