Fostering a pet will provide them with a safe, loving place to live before they find their forever home. Follow the steps below to apply for our foster volunteer program and become a foster home for shelter animals in need.

CAHS’s foster process
1. Fill out a foster application:
Fill out a foster application using this link. We will review your foster profile and reach out to you if we need any additional information.
2. Watch the virtual foster info session:
Once you have been accepted into our Foster Program, the volunteer coordinator will send you a volunteer welcome package with a link for the foster info session zoom recording. You will be added to the foster list so that you can start receiving our foster call-outs. The Foster Coordinator will arrange a one-on-one touch base with you before your first foster placement.
3. Administrative Fee:
Upon acceptance into our volunteer program, a $25 administrative fee will be collected prior to commencing any volunteer activities.
