Nestled north of Cochrane, our parks offer a perfect retreat for you and your furry friends. With stunning mountain views, these fully fenced spaces provide a serene environment for dogs to roam freely.

Why did we need the land?

•More physical space to relieve constrained facility and operations

•Quiet, low traffic area to work with high need dogs

•Unique facility for local community and potential to generate revenue

•Overall, provide better experiences for people and animals

Purchase & Development

•Recognized need for more space

•One family through the John Bowlen Legacy Fund at the Calgary Foundation wished to support the purchase of land and granted $700,000 for this purpose

•Funding enabled the purchase of an undeveloped property north of Cochrane

•Purchase closed in January 2024 and a Development Permit was approved by Rocky View County

•Permanent access, parking and fencing work completed in fall 2024
