Meet Penelope!

Pretty Penny has had anything but an easy start to her life - she was found as a stray around four months of age with a broken foot and needed to have her leg splinted during her recovery. She has been in foster care for some time now so we know a lot about this special girl! Penny is patient and quiet, and can relax for hours while her foster mom works. She sleeps through the night in a kennel and is house trained. Penny can be very shy in new situations, and when meeting new people and dogs, but once she knows you she’s the sweetest thing! Penny loves chewing, squeaking toys, removing limbs from toys, and wrestling with her big, one-year-old foster brother. She has been very respectful of her two older foster siblings and definitely gains confidence by having a furry friend. Penny has a bit of an independent streak, and loves her time outside in the yard. She is working on her confidence and leash skills during walks and is making progress each day! Penny has been diagnosed with hip dysplasia, so it will be important for her to maintain a good weight and keep her muscles and joints strong with daily exercise and supplements. But this doesn't change the many wonderful things to say about the soft, smart, sweet, silly and beautiful Penny. From her adorable full body wiggle greetings to her almost instant drop for belly rubs, Penny is a calm and loving pup who has the most adorable ears. We know there is a home out there for this deserving pup!
