Rocky

Happily Adopted
I adopted Rocky in May 2021. She was guesstimated to be 6 years old at the time. Don’t let the age fool you, Rocky is an amazingly fast learner and loves to be in the mountains. She is living her best life. Thanks CAHS for rescuing her.
Storm (now named Navi) adopted in 2023 from Cochrane and Area Humane Society

Storm

Happily Adopted
Storm (now named Navi) adopted in 2023, has come so much out of her shell, and has grown from the timid, fearful dog she was into a sassy, curious, and confident pup who loves her people and wants to be involved in everything! She loves exploring, going into the river, and hanging out with her other dog pals. Thank you so much for all you do, and the genuine care you put into helping dogs and people find the right match for each other!
Zipper, adopted 2022 from Cochrane and Area Humane Society

Zipper

Happily Adopted
I just wanted to check in after our first summer with Zipper (now Skye.) This summer she has been to Vancouver Island, camping trips, lots of canoeing and a little bike riding when its not too hot. Her and Akela get on really really well and are sisters for life now, we also take her to play with friends dogs often in their gardens. The best thing has been watching her confidence with water build. When we first got her from you she didn’t want to get wet, but now she dives right in. Thank you for everything you do!

Big Kahuna

Happily Adopted
Just wanted to let you know that Big Kahuna is settling in nicely here. We adopted him in February 2023 and within hours all 3 animals were getting along great. Our hearts are full and we are so grateful for all you do in joining us humans with these beautiful souls.
Sion (now named Pippin) adopted from Cochrane and Area Humane Society

Sion

Happily Adopted
Sion (now named Pippin) adopted in 2023, has been settling in so well into our household. He and our other cat Minnie are getting in so well now, and he definitely feels at home here. We've even been able to take him on his first camping trip! He did really well and loved being able to be outside (on his harness of course!). So I think we may have a little adventure kitty, which suits us just fine! Thanks so much for bringing this little floof ball of joy into our lives!
Jinx Adopted in 2023 from the Cochrane and Area Humane Society

Jinx

Jinx, adopted in 2023, has made the most amazing addition to our family of 6. With 3 four-legged siblings, Jinx quickly became the king around the house. Jinx loves to wrestle and play with his brothers and snuggle up close with his sister. Jinx has also become a bit of an adventure kitty. With his new cat backpack, Jinx often joins to family on walks with the dogs and even short drives around town. We cannot thank the fabulous team at the Cochrane Humane Society enough for all they have done in helping bring Jinx home to us.

Goon

Happily Adopted
Goon is our gentle giant. He is the epitome of unconditional love. When we are sick or upset, he won’t leave our side. He is the definition of man’s best friend. He is happiest on his heated blanket tucked in bed or going for his off leash walks with his dad at lunch. He is content when de-stuffing a stuffed animal looking for the squeaker or munching on his favourite snack of duck. This guy also loves to swim, whether it be in a lake or a kiddie pool in the backyard. Adopting Goon was one of the best decisions of our lives. We are thankful for him everyday and the love that he gives us.
Margeux adopted from the Cochrane and Area Humane Society

Margaux

Happily Adopted
For us and Margaux it was truly love at first sight. What struck us about Margaux was how happy she was. She was bouncy and playful and very friendly. The best thing we did for Margaux was to take private lessons at Cochrane Humane. We diligently did the homework that was set for us and things began to work out at home. Margaux’s life is full of fun and we personally can’t imagine life without her. Every day she does something that makes us smile or laugh. She is such a happy girl and she is simply a joy to be around.

Star

Happily Adopted
Everything has been wonderful. Star has really settled in, we’ve been going fishing and on adventures every weekend.

Polly

Happily Adopted
I just want to say THANK YOU for pairing me up with such an amazing cat. I definitely had some questions about Polly knowing that she was at the shelter long term, and had her own living space away from the other cats. Despite this, I wanted to give an older cat a chance, and she has ended up being such an amazing cat to us! She is very affectionate, loving and cuddly. She has become a very social cat, loving head scratches, cuddles, and to be around us. She always greets me at the door when I come home from work, and if we have people over she loves to be by the action, sitting by everyone and looking for pets! It seems once Polly was given a chance, and with a little bit of patience at the beginning, she has truly flourished into her true self. I’m so happy that I adopted Polly, I couldn’t ask for a better little companion.
Sprite, adopted 2023 from the Cochrane and Area Humane Society

Sprite

Happily Adopted
We did rename Sprite - Laya as in the Himalayan mountains. She has been settled in since the moment we brought her home! She is our little shadow and follows us around all day. Her favourite activity is playing with her string toy up and down the stairs. Once she's all played out she is sleeping, watching the squirrels outside on her cat tower, watching TV with us, or snuggling with us on the bed at night. She is also enjoying short trips outside in the backyard on her leash. She's the absolute sweetest girl as we love her so much! Thank you again for all your help with the adoption!
